Gratitude Journal

I think I want to start a gratitude journal. So often we long so much for things that we don’t take the true time to appreciate what we already have. Some of the things that we have now were once things that we only prayed and dreamed of. Life definitely has its ups and downs and we are in a constant state of learning. If we can see right in front of us all of the positive things that we have going for ourselves, I feel it would help us greatly. We have so much for be thankful for, so fortunate, so blessed.

What are you grateful for today? Do you have a gratitude journal? Our very life is a gift and a blessing, it gives us a chance to learn and better ourselves every single day. Have a beautiful weekend!

Getting Over Differences

Each of us is so different and unique and the views and opinions that we have about the world could be compared to night and day. Sometimes we find similarities in people and other times we can’t see eye to eye and that’s okay. We have all grown up differently and we have had different life experiences, so our views and opinions on certain things in life are going to be vastly different.

As hard as it may be, it is important to keep and open mind when trying to help others through a difficult time, even if what they are going through is not necessarily something that you and them see eye to eye about. Loved ones support each other no matter what, this doesn’t mean that you have to agree with it, but it’s important to not judge others. Only you know what’s best for you and only they know what is truly best for them.

I am a very strong-minded person and I have certain views that I don’t take lightly. I have learned to set aside my own strong feelings and views when trying to help someone who sees things the opposite as I do. I try to remove my feelings from the situation and look at how and why this person could be feeling the way they do. It’s no easy task, but an important one because when I need support from my loved ones, I’m happy when others easily support me even if they may not agree with my decisions or thoughts. Remember, you are supporting the person, not necessarily the decision the person has made etc. Wishing you a beautiful week and thank you for reading!

Blogmas!

Hello everyone, this year I have decided to take part in Blogmas! For those of you that may not know what this is, it’s basically a time where bloggers post holiday and/or winter-related posts in the days leading up to Christmas. Some bloggers post once a day for 25 days and some post here and there. Look out for tips and tricks and some fun holiday posts coming your way! I really hope that you enjoy!

Not Meant to Be – Poem

Our bond was stuck together like glue

Forever you and I, forever me and you

We laughed and smiled getting to know each other

You went from my friend to my lover

We had many dates in store

It was then that I realized we were not compatible anymore

I thought you were mine to keep forever

But sadly we could not make it last through the weather

I have my regrets and you do too

My life was not meant to be with you

I wish you all the best in life

One day you’ll be someone’s husband and I’ll be someone’s wife

I hope you enjoyed my first WordPress poem! I wanted to give poetry a try. Have a great week everyone!

Inside the Mind of a Blogger

I recently came across an amazing quote that I found to be so true. “A writer is a world trapped in a person.” – Victor Hugo. This quote really spoke to me, it describes me as a blogger. This side of me, my writing side, goes very deep and is often a side of me solely expressed through writing.

I have loved writing since I was very young. I sometimes had trouble coming up with what to write about in school, but once I came up with a certain topic and got started, there was no stopping me! I loved the feeling of putting pen to paper and just letting my thoughts flow. I was in my element and felt so free. I still feel the very same today, maybe even more so. Writing to me is incredibly therapeutic and is an amazing form of expression.

When I write, whether it be pen to paper, or on my laptop, I really do feel like I am in another world and also that I have a whole nother world to express. Each and every topic that I choose to write about has great importance to me. There is so much that I feel I have to say and so much desire to share with the world in hopes to help someone find happiness, motivation, peace, hope, inspiration, being able to relate. I’m curious how other bloggers feel about this quote, does it also apply to you?
