Determination vs. Obsession

Ever had a goal that you absolutely had to reach, or an idea that you just were compelled to make happen? Life gives us many opportunities and allows us to go after whatever our hearts desire.

Some people are more laid back and work towards what they want at a slower and more carefree pace and others are strongly determined from the beginning and won’t stop until they have what they sought after. I am one of those people. Sometimes I focus so much on what I want that I expend all my energy until I have it.

Determination after a while can start to feel almost like an obsession. We live and breathe our desire and at some point it may be all we can think of and focus on. Our minds can really run away on us and we can lose ourselves. We must remember to keep control over ourselves and not let our minds run wild and become so wrapped up in our desires!

Happiness

Life is going to take us down many roads, some will be smooth-sailing, some detours, and some roadblocks. No matter what life throws at us, we have the power to look at the situation in the best way possible. This is not easy of course, but can really help create more happiness in your life.

I am the kind of person that needs a goal, something to work towards, something to look forward to in order to be happy. I suppose many, or even most of us are this way. Find something that sets your soul on fire and makes you passionate about life, find something that makes you get out of bed in the morning and that makes you look forward to coming home in the evenings. Happiness in life is one of life’s greatest treasures. Get involved in something new to break the monotony and bring some joy and excitement into your life! I wish you all the happiness in the world and all of your heart’s desires.

Mondays

I love Mondays, honestly each day I like for a different reason. Monday is probably not the most loved day of the week for most people. For many of us that means back to work, back to school, back to waking up early, back to the daily grind, but there is something that I find special about Monday.

Like I mentioned above, I like each day of the week for a different reason, I enjoy Mondays for that feeling of a fresh start, a new beginning, the world opens back up again after the calm of the weekend. Life starts anew and there is so much excitement and anticipation to see how the week will unfold. I love the feeling of a “fresh start,” kind of like how it feels on New Year’s Eve as we bring in a new and hopefully amazing new year.

I know Mondays can be difficult, waking up early is not fun, fighting traffic is not easy, going to a job that’s stressful is difficult, but I hope today and everyday you find something to enjoy about your day! Hope you all have a great week and are doing well, thank you for your continued support! What are you hoping to accomplish this week?

Go For It

Most of us have dreams and aspirations that we hope to achieve at some point in our lives. We have this vision of how we would like life to pan out and it probably hasn’t gone exactly as planned. There are deep desires within us, things that we would like in our lives, that would make us feel whole. There is a burning desire to reach our goals and find happiness.

For some of us, our life goal may be the perfect career, marriage, having children, serving our country, going to college, or just making the world a better place to live in. Whatever our goal may be, we find happiness and hope in trying to pursue it. The end result is hopefully eventually fulfilling our dream.

Sometimes life hands us things that we were not prepared for and many of us get busy in our every day lives and put our dreams on hold. Some of us are waiting for that perfect moment to start working towards our dreams…there is no perfect moment! Start now, your life most likely will not play out as you have envisioned, but it will still be beautiful. If you don’t start today, you may miss the opportunity of a lifetime. Go after what you want in life and don’t stop until you get there!

Blogging Community

As with most things in life, we don’t know what to expect an outcome to be like until we actually try.  When I started my blog, my hope was to create content that people could relate to, content that would uplift, inspire, motivate, enlighten others.  I was not sure if my work would make an impact, but I was sure hoping that it would.  Never did I imagine the sense of community blogging would end up offering me.

For many years and actually still to this day, I often turn to the Internet for information, research, and understanding.  I also love to read blogs, I find the conversation style of a blog to be so personal and I love to learn from others and read what is inside the hearts and minds of other individuals.  I too wanted to help others the way that blogs have helped me all of these years.

From the beginning of my blogging journey, I have been amazed by other’s generous love, support, encouragement, motivation, and respect.  It is so nice to be a part of this amazing blogging community.  I love that we all have a place to come to that we can share our thoughts, ideas, lessons, all by having a mutual love and passion for writing and expression.  There’s no greater feeling than to write a blog post and have someone say that it spoke to them, empowered them, opened their eyes, or simply that they could relate.  I think it’s wonderful that we can all inspire and motivate each other.  I love you all and I appreciate your work.  I enjoy leaving comments on your blogs about how your posts have touched me.  You all are very talented individuals.

It is so wonderful to be a part of such a great blogging community.  Being a blogger has taught me so much about myself and the world around me.  It is pretty amazing to be a part of a family that all have a passion for the same thing.  I am so happy to have met you all and I hope that you know how much I appreciate and am thankful for every one of you.  Your support, love, and kindness mean the world to me.  Keep shining blogging community!
