Look Around You – There are Signs

Has anything like this ever happened to you?  For the last month or so, every single day without fail, I have seen the numbers 11:11 on the clock, whether it be day or night and sometimes it’s both, seeing it twice in one day.  Yes, it could be a very rare and strange coincidence, or my body automatically syncing to that time like an internal clock, but I believe that it may be due to something far more.

There are some people that don’t believe, or are maybe on the fence about what I have to say in this blog post and I respect that.  Your views are your views and my views are mine.  It doesn’t mean that you are right, or that I am right, everyone sees life and the world differently.  There are certain things or circumstances that I chalk up to being a mere coincidence and some that I believe hold some kind of message.

When I first started seeing 11:11 on the clock about a month ago, I made a wish and didn’t think much of it.  The next day and then the next, I saw it again.  I made a few more wishes and went about my day.  I continuously saw 11:11 daily, sometimes twice a day and still see it every day a month later.  I have only known 11:11 as the number sequence to “make a wish.”  I have done some research since I have been seeing it so much and I have read about some really interesting things like that it has a connection to the universe, angels, and it is considered a very spiritual number. It could mean that you are on the right life path, or that your spirit guides are trying to contact you.   Seeing it a few times doesn’t alert me, but seeing it daily has me very curious.

I am both a religious and spiritual person.  I have a wide range of experiences with the afterlife and paranormal.  I was always a believer in these things before, but having these personal experiences has really been amazing and eye-opening.  I tend to always seek and search for a deeper meaning or purpose.  I have always had the mentality that everything happens for a reason and that each of us is given a life path full of joys, lessons, and experiences to help us become the best and strongest person that we can be.

Throughout my life, I have had several of these little patterns emerge.  Right now, it is seeing 11:11 and about a year ago, I was having non-stop repetitive dreams about a certain major life even that ending up coming true.  In the past, I have found bird feathers after asking for a sign from my departed loved ones and I have seen little clues here and there to let me know that I am on the right path.  Every step seems like a nudge in the right direction.

There is honestly so much that I could write about on this topic.  I have had a very strong connection to God since I was a very young child and I have felt His amazing presence throughout my life, guiding me, helping me, making me stronger. I can’t help but think that many subtle signs like seeing 11:11 are messages for us from the other side to keep going, keep out heads held high, a sign that we are tiny beings in an infinite universe.  There is so much more than meets the eye here on Earth, there is so much beyond our comprehension as human beings.  The other side is in constant contact with us in one way, shape, or form.  If we just look around us, there are signs, but we must be open and welcome them.

Guided by Intuition

Recall that little voice inside that sometimes “speaks” when you don’t want it to, or is too quiet when you wish it would help you decide?  That is your gut instinct, your intuition and it serves a great purpose in life.  I believe that we all have a gut instinct that helps us subconsciously navigate through life, a little voice that pops up here and there when we are faced with a dilemma, are pondering a question, or trying to find our life path.

The evidence of our gut instincts can be seen during our daily lives.  Ever meet someone new and knew that you would become instant friends? Maybe the opposite, something told you to keep your distance from someone?  Have you been at school taking a test, read the question, had no idea of the answer, yet you got it right?  Have you had to choose between which job to take and later found out that you made the best decision of your life?  Have you had to decide whether to do something now, or postpone it and you chose the perfect time?  Though these examples could be due to coincidence, much of the time they are aided by the help of our subconscious.

So many times when we have to think or choose in life we unknowingly let our anxiety, fears, past experiences, or overthinking get in the way.  Our true thought process is tainted by these and therefore we may not clearly be able to see the best idea or option.  So, what is a good way to let your gut instinct guide you instead of your mind?  Often it is the very first, almost instant response that you feel.  For example, if you are choosing between taking Job A and Job B, ask yourself “Is Job A or Job B a better fit for me?” Without deliberately thinking or pondering the subject, notice which one comes to mind first, which one feels more right.  First instincts and thoughts are usually the most correct.

intuition1

Some individuals like myself have an even deeper inner voice known as intuition.  I believe every person has it, some just have a deeper sense of it.  This almost borders on psychic ability, as someone who is highly intuitive can often predict things before they happen.  Intuition is a gift that can be developed and grown.  I often try to develop my own by trying to feel how certain events will play out etc.  My beloved grandmother was very intuitive, even more than I am.  She could foresee many things before they happened and she often knew things going on before they were said.  I believe that I got my own ability partly from her.  My grandmother always told me that the older I got the stronger my intuition would be and so far she has been right.  God Bless her soul.  I miss her terribly.

The next time that you are faced with a difficult situation, a dilemma, wondering which path to choose, curious if someone new is worthy of your time, try to see if what instantly comes to mind without truly thinking about it helps you in any way.  If you would like to share a story below of how your gut instinct or intuition has led you, I would love to read them!

5 Greatest Life Lessons I’ve Learned

Life is an everyday learning experience and we are constantly evolving and adapting in order to create the best life that we possibly can. I am continuously learning about myself and the world around me, however I have come up with five lessons that I have learned that have helped me tremendously with personal growth.

  1. Take care of yourself mentally and physically. This probably seems obvious, but something that most of us don’t pay enough attention to. We do such a great job of taking care of others, we also need to remember to take care of ourselves both physically and mentally. It’s very difficult to go through life’s demands when we don’t feel sound as a human being. Taking full care of ourselves allows us to live life easier and fuller. Physically, we can eat a balanced diet, make sure that we are drinking enough water, exercise, or keep active in general. We can keep up with selfcare that helps us feel our best. Mentally we can take breaks when we feel overwhelmed, even if it’s a short coffee break, any sort of break lets us recharge. Everyone has a limit and it’s good to recognize when you are getting burned out so that it can be stopped in its tracks. Go for a walk, not only does this help physically, but also helps greatly at clearing our minds. Just being in nature is so refreshing and helps remind us that we are part of an amazing universe. Pamper yourself – take a hot bath, get a massage, take a course, pick up a hobby, etc. When we are mentally and physically whole we can take on anything!
  2. Stop worrying about things that you cannot control. Okay, this is a difficult one, especially for me, but I have learned ways to implement this. It’s so easy for anxiety and worry to take over, then one thought or worry snowballs into another and another. Worrying is a valid human emotion, however we can do ourselves a favor by focusing and putting our energy into things that we do have control over. Worrying about the unknown or uncontrollable aspects of our lives, robs us of the energy that we need to focus on what we can change. I believe in fate and I believe that what’s meant to be will be, this helps me sit back, relax, and breathe. When a worry or situation strikes I ask myself: Do I have control over this? If I do, well I can figure out an action plan and if I don’t, then I try to take the situation day by day and try to give up that control. I also analyze the situation to see what I can do and what my options are.
  3. Share your energy wisely. As much as we sometimes like to think of ourselves as superheroes, we are human beings that have limits and a limited amount of energy reserves. Life alone can be very draining of these reserves, so one tip that I have learned over the years is to be careful who I share my energy with. If you are around negative people, or people that bring you down, this will deplete your energy overtime. On the contrast, surrounding yourself with supportive and uplifting people can do wonders for your wellbeing. It’s human nature to want to care for others, but we should be cautious where we expend our energy.
  4. Don’t take things personally. Not so easy to do right? Someone says or does something that hurts or offends us and we take it to heart. We start to think what’s wrong with me? Does anyone like me? Is this individual acting this way because of me? We may feel like we are at fault and are the root cause of problems. The truth is, most of what people say isn’t about us at all, it’s about the other individual. Lots of times our worry and fear make us extra sensitive and we can view what’s happening incorrectly, making us question ourselves, and lowering our self-esteem. During these times, we must step back, analyze the situation, and try to understand that most likely the reactions and thoughts of others are in fact only fears, projections, and emotions of the other individual that they need to work through.
  5. Follow your instincts. We were born with instinct. We hear phrases like “follow your heart,” and “do what feels right.” Some people have a stronger intuition than others. There are claims that intuition can be built upon and made stronger. Often times, these innate feelings are subconscious and other times it’s like the message is clear as day. These gut feelings are there for a reason: to warn us, inform us, help us, guide us, etc. Most often, that little, or should I say big voice inside of us is accurate.

I really hope that you have found these helpful!
