The Intimacy of Writing

Each of us has an important story to share, a message that the world needs to hear. There are many ways that we can express ourselves to the outside world.

I enjoy seeing many types of art in the form of personal expression, be it through painting, crafts, or body art, but the most amazing form of self-expression that I love is writing.

Innate Feeling

Deep in my soul, there is an enormous passion for writing. I have adored writing ever since I was a little girl. I remember being in school and the teacher would tell us to start writing about any subject within a certain time frame. I would sit around and spend a long time trying to think of what to write about as I looked at my classmates writing away, pencils in hand. Once I thought of my topic though, I was unstoppable! When the timer went off, I didn’t want to stop, I had so much to say, so much to share.

I have always loved the way that it felt to put a pen to paper or have my fingers fly around my keyboard as the words just flowed like a river from my mind. The process of releasing all of my innermost thoughts and feelings and wanting to help the world with my life experiences was such a drive for me. Writing is a part of my soul.

Other Writers

When I read work from other writers, I am left in awe. It is such a beautiful thing to be able to sit down and read part of someone’s mind and heart. Writing is so very personal and intimate. Sometimes the words that we read from others have never been spoken out loud, we may be the first to ever hear what the writer is saying.

Writing is a wonderful way to get to know each other. By sharing our most intimate thoughts with the world, we can truly learn so much about other people. It amazes me all of the good and the beauty that exists in a piece of writing. The messages that we can take away from it, learning about life, and the fact that someone has reached deep inside to create this beautiful masterpiece for us to read are just beautiful to me.

Think About This

Many people write about things that they would not typically share out loud. Even if they did, the extent to which they communicated these ideas would probably not be as deep as something that one would write.

I appreciate the writing of others more than I can say. I just find it to be a magnificent and amazing form of art and expression and without it, I would be lost. Writing is a part of me that I will never let die.

What a beautiful thing it is to have many writers connected to share their thoughts and life stories. It is amazing how words can be so intimate and foster such a connection throughout a community!

I Met a Goat Today

Please stick with me, this story is not as random as it sounds. I was reminded of some valuable life lessons today.

I decided to visit a nearby public farm. I have always loved farm life and I admire the strength of farmers who put in hours and hours of hard physical labor in all elements of weather. As a lover of nature, the farm was an even bigger bonus.

I packed my water bottle and some snacks and took a drive to the farm. I was instantly filled with happiness as I saw large green hills, lots of wide-open space, and many farm animals that surrounded me. I couldn’t wait to see what was to be discovered during my visit.

I walked past the pigs, and the sheep, and observed the horses and cows grazing. There was even a nice home created for the ducks, equipped with a little pool of water for them to play in. In front of the ducks and chickens was a very lush environment filled with plants and greenery, it took me a while to see what was inside but hidden near the bushes was a beautiful peacock.

I kept walking and looking around at this gorgeous farm, I took a dirt path that led me to a large grassy area that housed the goats. A little goat came up to me immediately, it was like he suddenly appeared out of nowhere. There were unfortunately signs not to feed the animals, so I wasn’t able to, but what I was able to give this little goat was love. I petted his course hair and just enjoyed looking in awe at this little creature that wouldn’t leave my side.

I was surprised at how friendly this little goat was, especially considering how the other goats did not even approach the wooden fence. I petted his little face and talked to him and then decided to head up the dirt road to explore more of the farm.

To my surprise, the little goat followed me up the dirt road. He walked right beside me as I walked, the only thing that separated us was the wooden fence. I continued walking up the dirt road, the goat and I side by side.

I was truly mesmerized by this behavior; I found it precious and heartwarming. I loved all of the animals there on the farm. Each was unique and special in its way. Even though I enjoyed and loved all of these wonderful creatures, there is one that stood out…you might have guessed it already, it was my little goat friend.

We are keen on remembering things that elicit some sort of emotion in us, whether positive or negative. We are drawn to things that show us love, trust, and happiness. I know that this is a farm animal, but in general, this can be applied to the human population as well.

I have not been able to stop thinking of this little goat! Referring to humans, this shows us the importance of kindness and love. This tiny creature left a lasting impression on me.

As we go through life, we can easily recall the times that we were treated right, that we felt loved, and times when someone cared enough about us to stick by our sides. We will never forget those that trusted us and wanted to be in our presence.

Not only was this a beautiful day at the farm, but this precious little goat reminded me of the importance of pure love and kindness and what a difference it can make to someone. We don’t forget moments like this.

Be the person that welcomes someone, be the person that shows love, kindness, and respects other people. Be the person that stands out from the rest because they have shown others that they are valued.

If I Can

It always amazes me how many different walks of life there are. How similar, yet so different individuals can be. It amazes me that we can look at someone and they can seem “perfect” on the outside, yet we have no idea what is going on with them on the inside. The happiest person may have the toughest life, situations are not as they appear and that is what tricks the eye and mind. I am always amazed at the stories I hear and what others have gone through in their lives. I, myself have been through a lot in my life, we all have, and we can all truly learn from each other.

I have loved to write ever since I was a little girl. As a child, I would enjoy writing many fun stories. This passion for writing was only fueled even more as I got older. I love to write on all topics related to life such as self-growth, positivity, life advice, relationships, mental health, and general skills that I have learned while navigating my own life. I thoroughly enjoy writing. As an adult, writing has taken on an even greater meaning.

Many times in life, I have scoured the internet looking for answers to life and trying to decode the behavior of others. These internet articles helped me tremendously. I hope that my writing will help you in some way. I hope that it makes even one person feel less alone, feel hopeful, feel motivated, I hope that my work makes at least someone know that they already possess inside of them all that they need to get them through life.

If I can touch one soul and make them feel like someone understands them and can relate to them, then that will make me beyond happy. I have a great hope that my work will speak to someone and help them in some way. I have so many messages to deliver to this world and many life experiences and advice that I want to pass on.

I enjoy talking about life, there is so much that we can learn from each other. Other individuals have different ways of thinking and approaching certain ideas and situations and by listening we can truly broaden our horizons and make ourselves more well-rounded and open-minded. I hope to make a difference in this world with my writing no matter how small!

Spring into Nature

With spring right around the corner, I felt compelled to write a blog post dedicated to the lovely nature that surrounds us.  I have been in love with nature and its beauty ever since I was a little girl.  I love the sight, smell, memories, and the way that nature makes me feel.  Nature has a way of refreshing my soul and making me feel recharged.  It makes me feel even that more connected to the Lord, the One that created me.

No matter what kind of day I’ve had, no matter what kind of mood I’m in, all it takes is a walk in the neighborhood, sitting out on the deck, or riding in the car with the windows down to relax me.  There’s something about nature’s tranquility that helps me refocus and be at peace.

I live in an area that experiences all four seasons and each one of them is special in its own way.  Winter reminds us to be still and cozy up to the ones and the things that we love, spring renews us with its warmth and lets us watch the world unfolding around us as life blossoms everywhere.  Summer holds some of the most fun and relaxing memories, it makes us feel so alive and lastly fall cools us off with its refreshing breeze and paints the world full of color as the leaves change.  Nature is absolutely beautiful and offers us so much to enjoy.

Some of my favorite memories are ones outside with loved ones.  I will never forget all of the beach trips, carnivals, pumpkin patches, sledding, hikes, camping trips, gardening, the list is endless.  We can get so busy with life that sometimes we may not take the time to enjoy our surroundings.  There are so many benefits to reap.  Nature is my go-to for relaxation, happiness, reflection, and clarity.

As spring approaches us, gather a list of things that you would like to do as the weather gets warmer.  Make time for yourself, smell the flowers, feel the sun on your skin, breathe the fresh air, feel the dirt beneath your feet.  Nature is an endless discovery!
